One Paper...Several Cards

When I saw this paper I fell in love. I'm always on the lookout for great boy/guy papers, and this one seemed to fit the bill!

Lately I have decided that when I start to use a paper, I am going to use it all up. That way I don't have a half sheet here and there that I don't know what to do with! I made 10 cards with this sheet! I do have a couple of scraps left that I will file away and hope to use at some point.

WooHoo!

Yay! I did it...I cut my hair, and I am loving it! It's not as drastic as Katelyn's, but still people are going to notice! However, I don't know if I am as brave as Katelyn, so I'm not sure I will post pics. Yikes! Oh, wimpy me. (I always hate pics of me anyway!) But my head feels great, I'm loving the style, and I hope it's easy to do!

Here is my favorite card that I have made lately...just LOVE it! The colors are awesome together, and the font...oh I love that font! Just added it to my Etsy shop!

Inspiration

Ok, so I said I was going to do the baby card thing, but I just can't get into it for some reason! I made a whopping total of: one. Woohoo. I guess the new pile of paper that I bought just doesn't inspire me to do the baby thing! I am actually working on making a bunch of Mother's day cards. This is a big event for card makers like me!

I am also have a time pulling my nose out of a book...Harry Potter actually! I'm hooked! My oldest has read and reread them so many times, and I just laughed at him, but now here I sit. The weather has been perfect for that, raining, snowing, cuddle-up-with-a-book weather. Now, on to book 6!

New Set!

I have been working hard on getting new cards for the shops this week. The new ones are made with really neat paper...and I love how they turned out!

Oh so lovely patterns...

When I was visiting with my family, I went to the best scrapbook store I have ever been to. Almost every time I visit, I have to hit this store! Yay for Pages in Time! Anyway, while there I fell in love with the paper line that SEI has out now...Dill Blossom. The colors are amazing, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on them! (Of course, I shocked my mom again with the amount that I spent there...again! ;)

So now that I am home and things are starting to get back to normal, I got in some time at the scrapbook table.

I'm not sure about other card makers, but when I start I usually have to plan whatsoever for what I am going to make. Usually I just jump right in and see where it takes me! Here is the first of 4 cards that I have made in the Dill Blossom series. I never used the "HB" stamp before, and I am hoping that people will know that it stands for "Happy Birthday." I thought it fit this card. Isn't that super large brad pretty cool?! I couldn't pass them up either!

A new design

I made a pocket card! I love the paper that I used, agian with the paper fetish! ;) The blues, and the browns, then the touch of red...love at first site!

Instead of writing your message on the inside of the card, there is a pull out tag to write on. And, if you are long winded, there is room on the back of the card to continue writing!

Check it out...it's for sale in my shop!

Same paper...different looks

I was playing around with some new cards today when I found some cute flowered paper that I had tucked into my selection of green cardstock just because I loved the 2 together. I'm not sure how long I've had this paper, but long enough that I forgot where it was! And, it just goes to show how often I get to the back of the pack of green paper that I have. (Hmmm, does that mean that I have too much?!)
I wanted to show you here today what I ended up doing with this paper. The first card I made was a simple design...flowered paper on green cardstock, and then I added a "Happy Birthday" whick made it look like the card was for a younger girl.
Then I brought out the inks. Distressing the edges of the flowered paper and the cardstock really made a difference in what the card looked like! There was no way that I wanted to use the same stamp for Happy Birthday, it just didn't fit in any more!
For the third card I inked the entire flowered paper and it turned out looking like it was tea dyed! Then I inked the edges. Now, the flowered paper had changed so much, the green cardstock was out of the question. So black it is. I inked the black cardstock also. I love how each one of these turned out! So much fun!

New paper

I think I'm in love! This paper really caught my eye, and I think it's really great to see how things turn out with it. There are 2 coordinating papers - one has stripes, one polka-dots, and the other has flowers. The card photo is what I made out of it so far. I have started on an altered tin using the same paper...maybe I can post a photo of it when it is finished! With the projects that I have in my head that I want to use this paper for, I guess I better go back and buy more!

So what do you think of it? Good paper? We will see how well it sells in my shop!
